The Goryeo court started this wall in 1232, after moving the capital to Ganghwa to escape the Mongol invasions. Four restored gates survive. Manhallu is the east gate, Cheomhwaru the west, Anparu the south and Jinsongnu the north. The ridge path linking them starts in the middle of Ganghwa-eup town. Incheon city bus 800 runs from Incheon Terminal Station straight to the West Gate stop. That makes this the easiest Ganghwa site to reach without a car. The county's published admission table does not list this site, so we could not confirm a fee or opening hours.
