Jeondeungsa Temple

A temple that sits inside the walls of Samnangseong Fortress, also called Jeongjoksan Fortress. You pass through a fortress gate to reach it. Admission has been free since 4 May 2023. Only parking is charged, 3,000 won for a small car. The grounds are open 09:00-17:30. The fortress around it is where Yang Heon-su's troops turned back a French landing force in 1866. From Ganghwa Terminal, take the county circular bus toward Onsu-ri. It stops at the temple.
