Geumjeongsan Godangbong Peak

Start at the Iljumun gate of Beomeosa temple. The usual route climbs through the fortress North Gate to Godangbong, the 801 m top, in about 1 hour 20 minutes, and the loop back down takes about 3 hours in all. Near the top it's rocks and an iron spiral stair, slippery after rain. From Beomeosa Stn exit 5 or 7 (Line 1), take bus 90 to the temple. The Geumgang Park cable car goes up to a different trailhead, far from this route.
