Two years on the badge
The university symbol carries two years. 1941 is when Paik Hospital, the parent of the school, was founded, and 1979 is when Inje University was established.

It grew out of a hospital
The university says its roots are in the Paik Hospital foundation, the first privately founded public-interest corporation in Korea.
Saving the world with virtue
The founding spirit is 仁術濟世 and 仁德濟世, which the school explains as saving the world through medicine and virtue.
What the badge shows
The shield border stands for guarding truth, and the letters I and J together stand for cooperation. The cross inside means love and service, the blue means reason, and the laurel leaf means victory.
Honesty, sincerity, diligence
The school motto is honesty, sincerity and diligence. Its educational ideals are protecting nature, respecting life and loving people.

- Take the Busan–Gimhae Light Rail from the airport to Inje Univ. Station, then the Inje shuttle bus to campus.
- From Busan Station
- Subway to Yeonsan, change for Daejeo, then the light rail to Inje Univ. Station and the shuttle bus.
- Shuttle bus
- From exit 1 of Inje Univ. Station, across from the fire station, every 15 minutes from 8:15 to 21:30. Fewer buses run in the holidays.

Inje doesn't post its exchange deadlines online. Your exchange coordinator at home has the dates and the forms.
The application form, a self-introduction and study plan, a recommendation letter from your university, your transcript and certificate of enrolment in English, a passport copy and 4 photos (3.5 × 4.5 cm, white background). Send scanned PDFs and the paper copies.

After you arrive
Residence card
You need the card to open a phone contract in your own name, open a bank account and sign up for most Korean apps.

- When
- Exchange students get a health check in the third week of the semester and register for the card in the fourth week.
- Health insurance
- National Health Insurance is required. You join automatically once you're registered.
- Fee
- The government fee for the card is ₩35,000.
- Trips abroad
- Don't travel to other countries until your card is out. A single-entry visa works only once, so leaving early can stop you from coming back on it.
- Changes
- Report a new address within 15 days of moving, at your local community centre or at immigration. Report a new passport to immigration within 15 days as well. Both are free.
- Immigration helpline
- Call 1345 with visa or residence card questions. It answers in English and other languages on weekdays from 9:00 to 22:00. From abroad, dial +82-2-1345.

- Doubles of 15.5 m², with shared toilets and showers on each floor. A single is ₩9,000 a day.
- Who lives here
- International students only: exchange, degree and language students. 68 places for men and 72 for women.

- A reading room, a shared kitchen, a lounge and a front desk. Open 24 hours.
