Hwajinpo Lake Villas

A pine forest between a lagoon and the sea where the old holiday villas of Kim Il-sung, Syngman Rhee and Lee Ki-poong still stand. The villas are 1 to 2 km apart, and Kim Il-sung's, known as Hwajinpo Castle, sits at the top of hillside stairs. Most people drive here on the same day as the Unification Observatory.
