The fan-shaped columnar joints are rare anywhere in the world. They sit on the same stretch of coast as the Underwater Tomb of King Munmu, so see both in one go. The Pado Sori-gil path runs about 2 km, and you can park at the public lot at Eupcheon Port.

- The coastal path is open all day. The observatory is open 09:00 to 18:00, last entry 17:00. One source says it closes on Mondays, so check before you go. Checked Oct 2026.
