The free Namsan Oreumi elevator at Myeongdong Station Exit 4 skips the first steep climb. If it gets hard, switch to the 01 circular bus (transit-card transfers work). The observatory itself costs extra. The observatory stops entry 30 minutes before closing. In Mar-May fine dust can erase the view — check airkorea.or.kr/eng before buying a ticket; at night the tower's light colour is the air-quality reading (blue = good, red = very bad).
