Hanbok, Palaces & Bukchon Alleys

한복 입고 궁 · 북촌

Day course · 4 stops · Seoul

Gyeongbokgung and Jongmyo close Tuesdays; Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung and Deoksugung close Mondays — which palaces you can see depends on the day. If a closing day lands on a public holiday they open and rest the next weekday instead. Ticket sales stop an hour before closing — in winter (Nov-Feb) Gyeongbokgung's real cutoff is 16:00. Hanbok (jeogori + skirt or trousers) gets you into the four palaces and Jongmyo free, foreigners included (Secret Garden excluded). Bukchon's red zone (the Bukchon-ro 11-gil lane) is open to visitors 10:00-17:00 only, daily — outside those hours photos can draw a fine up to 100,000 won (main streets and cafes are unrestricted).
