Sea temple by day, drones at night
낮엔 용궁사, 밤엔 드론쇼
Day course · 4 stops · Busan
The temple on the sea rocks and the Beach Train by day, then the Saturday drone show at Gwangalli.
[It has to be a Saturday] The Gwangalli drone show runs on Saturdays only. Oct to Feb: 19:00 and 21:00, about 12 min each. It can be cancelled for weather or events, so check gwangallimdrone.co.kr on the day. On the Busan fireworks festival day there may be no show. [Haedong Yonggungsa] A rare temple right on the sea. Look for the twelve zodiac statues, and bring a few coins to toss from the bridge. The temple alone is plenty, though you can walk on along the coast. There are few restaurants nearby, so most people grab seed hotteok, street snacks or something from the convenience store. Getting there: the bus from Osiria Stn is the usual way and the wait can be long, so walk one stop back and board there when it's crowded. Taxis are hard to catch when you leave. Buddha's Birthday and the New Year sunrise are far busier than other holidays. [Beach Train] Seven stops from Songjeong to Mipo: Songjeong, Gudeokpo, Daritdol Observatory, Cheongsapo, Haewol Observatory, Dalmaji Tunnel and Mipo. One ride is 10,000 won from Mipo or Songjeong, two rides 14,000 won, every stop 16,000 won, and a one-ride ticket ends when you get off. Small groups can buy on the spot, since some seats seem to be held back even when booking is full. We started at Songjeong near the temple (the staff suggested it), got off once at Daritdol Observatory, a glass skywalk over the sea, and walked to the next stop. Seats are first come when you get back on, so you may wait or stand. Last trains: 19:00 Nov to Feb, 19:30 Mar, Apr and Oct, 20:30 May, Jun and Sep, 21:30 Jul and Aug. Prices and times checked October 2026, so confirm before you go. [Haeundae to Gwangalli] Haeundae Market stalls break around 14:30, so eat before 14:00. Leave the beach about an hour before the show and take Line 2 from Haeundae Stn to Gwangan Stn, since buses get stuck in traffic and can make you miss it. Dinner fits better after the show. Millak Hoe Town, at the east end of the beach, is where you pick your fish downstairs and eat it upstairs. [Gwangalli] Be on the sand 30 min before the show. Line 2 from Gwangan Stn to Seomyeon takes about 15 min.
