Haeundae Sand to Gwangalli Neon: One Busan Beach Day

Sky Capsule first — if you can't get it the afternoon collapses. Official booking opens Tuesdays 07:00 for the week four weeks out, but leftover seats stay on sale online until 2 hours before riding and same-day booking works — check the official site even 1-3 weeks out; only if sold out try Klook/MyRealTrip or the small same-day quota at the Mipo counter (08:30 on weekends). No capsule? The Beach Train covers the same stretch. Hours differ: capsule ends 20:30 Jul-Aug / 19:30 May-Jun+Sep / 18:30 Mar-Apr+Oct / 18:00 Nov-Feb; the train ends one hour later each season — time your Cheongsapo-to-Mipo return by the TRAIN. Fares are per capsule (May 2026): 2-seater 50,000 / 3-seater 55,000 / 4-seater 60,000 won (an old page still shows 40,000 — trust checkout). Solo, take the train instead (10,000 from Mipo/Songjeong, 8,000 from Cheongsapo; 2 rides 14,000). Cancellation: any time before departure with fees (free 3 days out / 20% / 30% / 50% same day; nothing after departure time). The train/capsule run EAST from Mipo only — The Bay 101 is the opposite end: back at Mipo it's a 3km/40-45min beach walk or a 6-8,000 won taxi; subtract that before sunset. Swimming is 09:00-18:00 in season only (2026: Haeundae 26 Jun-15 Sep, Gwangalli 1 Jul-31 Aug) — evening arrivals look at the sea, not enter it. The Gwangalli drone show is Saturdays only (20:00/22:00 Mar-Sep, 19:00/21:00 Oct-Feb) and cancels for wind, rain or events — check gwangallimdrone.co.kr that day and plan an evening that works without it. Trains home: last KTX to Seoul Station 22:10 (00:42); for Gangnam/Songpa, Suseo-bound trains run 22:21 and 23:00 — search Suseo too. Gwangalli-to-Busan-Station really takes 55-65 min — get up at 20:30, or taxi ~20,000 won. Rainy day: Sea Life aquarium (daily, entry to 18:00 weekdays / 19:00 weekends) or Spa Land at Centum City (08:00-23:00, 4-hour limit — confirm late entry on site). Haeundae Market stalls break around 14:30 — finish lunch by 14:00. From 1 Sep 2026 the KTX-SRT merger revises timetables/fares — recheck in Korail+.
