Busan Crew Route · Day 1/3: Seomyeon & Hwangnyeongsan Night View

[This route] is the 4-day Busan trip 37 exchange students actually did over Chuseok 2026, cut down to 3 days. Go Day 1 → Day 2 → Day 3. Plan it so **Day 2 is a Saturday** (e.g. the Hangul Day long weekend, Oct 9 Fri – Oct 11 Sun) and you get the Gwangalli drone show. [Getting there — book now] Holiday trains and buses sell out fast. The #1 reason people joined our Busan trip: they couldn't get holiday bus tickets. · Seoul Stn → Busan Stn by KTX: about 2h20, 59,800 won regular fare (cheaper deals exist; weekends sell out early). Since the Sept 2026 KTX/SRT merger, book in the 'Korail+' app. · Seoul → Busan express bus: about 4h, 39,700 won. · From Incheon: express bus from Incheon Bus Terminal about 4h10 (42,800 won), or 60–80 min to Seoul Stn then KTX. [What time to leave] This day assumes you **reach Busan around 12:30**. · e.g. KTX from Seoul 10:00 → Busan Stn ~12:20 → subway line 1 to Seomyeon → check in / drop bags ~13:00. · By bus, leave around 08:00, and add ~30 min by subway from the bus terminal to Seomyeon. · Arriving late? Skip Jeonpo Cafe Street and go straight to Hwangnyeongsan. [Stay in Seomyeon] It's where lines 1 and 2 cross, so every day starts there. On our trip, the groups staying far away barely joined anything. 🔴 Some self-check-in guesthouses have no staff and only send Korean instructions — ask for English check-in instructions before you book. [Hwangnyeongsan night view — everyone's favourite part of the trip] 10–15 min by taxi from Seomyeon: go up for sunset; there are several viewpoints. 🔴 **Getting a taxi back down is really hard** — on our trip lots of people waited ages at the top. Walking down takes **at least 30–40 min**, so wear sneakers — or treat it as a hike both ways. [Dinner] Seomyeon dwaeji gukbap (pork soup) — people were unsure at first, then it was the favourite food of the trip. Korean BBQ went down well too. If someone is vegetarian, pick the place in advance or they end up eating separately. [Night (optional)] Seomyeon pubs and clubs, several foreigner-friendly ones within walking distance. If you drink, post tomorrow's leave time in the group chat now — plans falling apart after drinking was the hardest part of our trip.
